Presented at our booth at ISBT Milan, we developed three projective scenarios for the future of our industry with the help of the Husbek & Rica agency:
- What if the blood industry did away with plastic tomorrow?
- What if blood transfusions were privatized tomorrow?
- What if the collapse of AI threatened the blood industry tomorrow?
Why?
To debate, question, anticipate the future, probe… It’s an opportunity to ask the questions we sometimes refuse to address because we are too caught up in our daily lives or regulations. Here, there is freedom of subject matter.
However, to challenge our ideas, we have brought in professionals from the sector to rationalize, but also to provide their own perspective on the situation: Luis LARREA (Hematologist at the Valencia Blood Transfusion Center), Christian GABRIEL (Physician at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Experimental and Clinical Trauma Medicine in Linz, Austria) and Angelo D’ALESSANDRO (Professor with a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus).
